Last weekend was mad trill. I'm fresh out of Advil, Jesus grab the wheel.

Last weekend Ash and I headed 45 minutes west to Baton Rouge to see my favorite guy Mitch who had invited us to tailgate for the UF/LSU game. This was my first time at an SEC tailgate and also first time visiting LSU. I gotta say I was pretty excited to revisit the college life on a Saturday morning.

First off let me say that LSU's campus is FRICKIN AMAZING! Just huge weeping willows EVERYWHERE. Picture the cutest college town you have ever been to. Now think of a southern town that you thought was sooo charming that you would buy land, build a house, and ride your bike to the local market. THAT IS LSU! There is charm everywhere! Okay, now back to the tailgate. I have got to be honest, SEC tailgates are pretty different from Big 10 and MAC's tailgates. Ash made some good points on our way back home how different the southern tailgates were compared to the north. So let me list you off some of those differences.
  • ALL GIRLS, I repeat, ALL GIRLS WEAR DRESSES. Evidence 001.A.  (picture below) Also cowboy boots are a MUST. Everyone that knows me knows that I do not have a pair of those boots in my closet!

Obvi Ash and I heard that the girls in the south wear dresses to tailgate, but I didn't think it was like a huge deal. It is not a huge deal. ITS A RELIGIOUS RULE! We stuck out like a MSU fan in Ann Arbor. No bueno guys.
  • We (Ash and I) cuss like sailors. Every other girl, not at all.
  • Lastly the freshman pledges wear suits. I have seen this before up north, but let me just tell you guys how hot it was last Saturday. Just imagine hell. I think you get the picture. If not (sweaty guys EVERYWHERE!)
The dad loved him some Ashley G!

This picture pretty much sums up how hot it was.
Sooooo clever....

All in all we had a fantastic weekend. We were happy to see Mitch and I got to finally see the wonderful campus of LSU. As Jay-Z once said, "Last night (weekend) was mad trill. I'm fresh out of Advil, Jesus grab the wheel."
This is not real life.....

Until then blogosphere....

Karen: There is a 30% Chance It Is Already Raining.

This weekend was suppose to be a first for me. Good ol' Karen the tropical wuss depression was suppose to make landfall into metro New Orleans early this morning. Crazy wind speed and lots of rain. I have got to admit I was kinnnddddaaaaaaa excited to witness my first huge southern storm. Of course our Storm Plan is 1. Make sure there is alcohol in the apartment. CHECK! 2. Go on with life with a damn good buzz. Everything else, like food, water, batteries just don't really matter.
So here I am, waking up to my alarm at 4 am watching out my window and waiting for Karen to just crush us. What do I get? A light rain that lasts ohhhhh about an hour. HOW RUDE KAREN! I guess I should be happy, but dang it, I was seriously excited to see what a tropical storm looked like.

Tigger completely pissed at Karen!

Now I sit here watching New Orleans take on Chicago (GO SAINTS!). They rarely show NFC North games. BOOO!!! So that's a no go on actually watching the Lions play. All in all this weekend was a total bust. However if I do get a LIONS WIN I guess this weekend wont be such a waste. Next weekend however is a totally different story. I finally get to go to Baton Rouge to visit the beautiful LSU campus for the first time! I.CANNOT.WAIT!!!!!

Game Day Ready! GO LIONS!

Showing our Lions Pride! #Meow
