Laziness Is My Middle Name...

Happy Saturday everyone! Since I have nothing to do this weekend, seeing that its raining meow and woof, I will put together some of my favorite, interesting and funny things from the internet. So without further ado here are 8 things to know. PERIOD!

1. It's the weekend. Here is what I plan on doing.

2. Fact of the DayIt would take 1,200,000 mosquitoes, each sucking once, to completely             drain the average human of blood.

3. The Word of the day: Bumfuzzle. I am bumfuzzled by the fact of the day! I swear I have been       bitten over 1 kajillion times in my life.

4. Tyler Knott is probably one of the best poets I have come across. Not to mention he is not       bad on the eyes. Check out his tumblr for some amazing quotes that feel like they fit my life like     a puzzle piece.

5. Fact of the Day numero dosOne out of ten children in Europe are conceived on an IKEA bed.           Could you be part of this statistic? I mean...come one...who doesn't Love, love, Love, LOve, LOVe,               LOVE IKEA!?!

6. The one and only reason why I am working out.

7.  Song of the Week: Disarm. If you love the Smashing Pumpkins and The Civil Wars, you cannot miss          out on this cover.

8. My Lions take on the Washington Redskins this Sunday! So of course I had to rep them at work! Which       came with snide remarks. I just rap a little Jay-Z and voila, my shoulders seem less dirty. ;)

Have a great weekend everyone! I refuse to move from this couch. So until then blogesphere....

Our Northern Adventure

Ash and I decided to make a visit up north to surprise our mom for Labor Day weekend. I haven't been home since the end of April and Ash since last November. We planned this trip a couple months in advance. So of course the waiting process to finally head up north felt like years and years and years!

I LOVE flying, Ash on the other hand.....not so much. So we decided to get a drink on the plane and relax. God, the small things that make me happy...like drinking on a plane.

We had a ton of people to visit and we did our best to try to fit everyone in! Of course, we had to start with our dear old CAG (Carol G)! She, like I said, had no idea that we were coming up. So we had her best friends Todd and Michael take her out to dinner and we would come in and surprise her!
This has to be one of my favorite pictures ever! Love my mama pants.
This picture pretty much sums up how well our little plan worked! She had NO clue! She was furious that no one had told her we were coming, but still so happy to see us! I love that woman. I don't think our surprise would have been successful without the help of Todd and Michael! I know how hard it is for Todd to keep his mouth shut! ;)

:)
Coming up for our visit really made me miss my friends, family and Bran Muffin. Not to mention we experienced some of the best Michigan weather EEVVEERR. Nothing but sunshine, 80 degrees and little humidity. I am pretty sure it could not have been more perfect. In five short days I fit in as many adventures as possible! Riding motorcycles, drinking Michigan beers, festivals, bottomless mimosas/bloody marys and just relaxing!

Thanks again to everyone I had the chance to see. I really am so blessed to have such amazing people in my life. Sappy, yes, but oh so true.
